Even though Shawn grew up going to church, he spent much of his teenage years running from God. Everything changed one Easter Sunday when his aunt invited him to church. That day, after the service, he knelt in a pastor’s office, prayed for forgiveness, and Jesus transformed his life.

Immediately, Shawn began serving as a youth leader. By his junior year of high school, he surrendered to the call to ministry and started preaching to children, youth, and adults. He earned two undergraduate degrees and later a Master of Divinity in Church Ministry.

Since then, Shawn has preached more than 2,000 sermons in churches of all sizes. Through every season of ministry, one truth became clear: when sermons are clear, focused, and faithful to Scripture, they connect more deeply and lead to real life change.

That conviction is what led Shawn to launch S3 Ministry — to help pastors develop sermons that are:

• Planned with clarity through a thoughtful sermon calendar and series direction
• Prepared with depth so each message is biblically grounded and clearly structured
• Presented with confidence so sermons connect and invite transformation

Along the way, Shawn met and married Emily (who he claims is way out of his league). Together they serve the church and raise their two children, Madalyn and Collin.

When Shawn isn’t preaching or helping pastors strengthen their sermons, you’ll probably find him watching sports, playing games with his family, or cheering from the sidelines at his kids’ games.

S3 Ministry was born out of decades of preaching experience and one simple conviction: when pastors have a clear, repeatable process for sermon development, preaching becomes less stressful—and sermons become more impactful.
