Even though he grew up going to church, Shawn spent the beginning of his teenage years running from God.   His aunt invited him to church on Easter Sunday.  That day after the service he knelt in the pastor’s office, prayed for forgiveness, and Jesus invaded his life.

Immediately, Shawn began to serve as a youth leader in his church.  God began dealing with Shawn about going into the ministry.  His junior year in high school he surrendered to that call, and began ministering to children, youth, college students, and adults while earning two undergraduate degrees in college.  Afterwards, Shawn attended Seminary and earned a Master of Divinity in Church Ministry.

The summer after graduating from Seminary, he met Emily (who is out of his league), who he later married.  They both enjoy serving the Church with their daughter Madalyn and their son Collin.

When Shawn isn’t speaking, he enjoys watching sports with friends, playing games with his family, and watching his kids play sports.
